Hot And Spicy Chicken Masala —

Simple home Indian style chicken masala which goes well with roti , naan, paratha or rice.  This is made in various ways in every household across India.  Regionwise  taste differs slightly but the basic ingredients remain the same.

This version of mine works well with my family and it’s literally a hassle free cooking which tastes heavenly .

This is the chicken masala — which I have mentioned  in my previous  post with Garlic Naan, my friends those who follow me — will surely understand—- 🙂

Main Ingredients:

  • 750 gm of chicken (with bone , medium pieces)
  • Onion , ginger , garlic paste 1 medium bowl
  • Dahi or curd 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder 4 to 5 tbsp
  • 2 tsp of green chilli paste
  • Ghee or clarified butter for cooking
  • 1 tsp of garam masala
  • Salt to taste

Method :

Marinate the chicken pieces with all the spices overnight (except the ghee).

Heat a deep bottomed pan and add ghee ,  when it is hot , add the marinated chicken pieces along with all the marination .  Cover it and cook till the chicken gets cooked in it’s own juices , no need to add water — Turn off the flame when oil oozes out and sprinkle some garam masala and coriander leaves for garnishing —

That’s it — so simple — go ahead and give it a try —

    None, actually in another recipe i had mentioned curd as an ingredient, but a friend was not able to understand , she knew by the name yoghurt. So this time I mentioned both the names 😊
