Simple Marinara Sauce with meatballs

This is a simple tomato sauce with some ripe tomatoes and some herbs work wonder for any  variety of spaghetti  or meatballs—
It is really easy and tastes much better than the store brought ones—

You can add any sausage  or meatballs to your liking and within half an hour or so your lunch will be ready —

Main Ingredients:

  • 10 to 12 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • One yellow bell pepper 
  • One red bell pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 4 tsp of oregano
  • 3 to 4 basil leaves sprig
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 5 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of grated cheese



Place the ripe tomatoes , tomato paste , garlic , oregano , chopped parsley , salt and pepper — blend until smooth–

Heat olive oil in a skillet — saute the onions for 5 to 5 minutes — add in the tomato paster puree , red , yellow bell pepper , basil leaves  and white wine —

Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes —

Lastly add in the grated cheese — cook for further 1 to 2 minutes — switch off the flame —
Serve this basic marinara sauce with your favourite — pasta ,  sphagetti  or  meatballs  of your choice —-

I have served today with my family’s favourite — meatballs — 😊
